This month, L.A. experimental post-punkers Deathday will follow up their self-titled LP of this year with a new EP, No Future, on Berlin's Mannequin Records. It brings together 'Dropped Into Obscurity', which was featured on 2012's So Click Heels compilation from Downwards, the label run by Karl O'Connor, aka techno maestro Regis, alongside the title track and a remix from Dutch producer Legowelt. It's a strictly limited release, with only 300 copies on vinyl...

Deathday present their highlight from the' 'So Click Heels' compilation, 'Dropped Into Obscurity' backed with a cracking Legowelt remix and their new title track. From the top, 'No Future' squeezes off some dodgy synths and chaotic guitars locked to a stepping goth groove, but it's easily overshadowed by the searing heat of 'Dropped into Obscurity', and a shockingly good Legowelt remix that sounds little like the original or even the remixer himself, more like Burial Hex. Tipped!
